Calera’s Central Coast wines are made from grapes grown by selected vineyards in California’s Central Coast Viticultural Area. This is a delightful, European-style dry Rosé, made of 100% Pinot Noir. The wine is light colored, fruity, crisp and flavorful. It’s spunky and fun, just right for barbeques, picnics and warm weather events.
100% Pinot Noir; Appellation: Central Coast; Sub-Appellation: Cienega Valley
Made using grapes from a prized single vineyard in the Central Coast’s Cienega Valley AVA, this Vin Gris of Pinot Noir dazzles with aromas of cranberry, wild strawberry, grapefruit and kumquat. On the palate, it is silky and a touch exotic, with flavors of mango and marmalade gliding to juicy finish.
After a cool, wet start to the season, summer brought near-perfect weather to the Central Coast, with warm, sunny days and cool nights. This weather continued into autumn, ensuring abundant hangtime. We were able to harvest all of our vineyards exactly when we wished, resulting in vibrant white wines with lovely tension and depth, and beautifully aromatic reds with age-worthy structures, dynamic fresh-fruit flavors and elegant underlying complexity.
